1966 911, Ralph Meaney's Daytona Winner
Purchased to become a dedicated race car in 1965 by Ralph Meaney who campaigned the 911 from new in SCCA, Trans Am, The Daytona 24 Hour, Sebring 12 Hour and The 6 Hours of Watkins Glen. Ralph was the SCCA B Sedan Northeast Champion and went on to a GT class win at Daytona in 1970 with this car. After the 1970 Season it was replaced with a 914/6 GT. The car raced for a few more seasons before being parked under a tree in Georgia. In 2015 the car was sold to an enthusiast in Germany who planned a restoration to original specifications. I was able to locate and buy the 911 in 2017. The restoration to Daytona specs was started in 2018.
